I am a practitioner in Reflexology, Reiki and Healing Touch. I have a full time practice in Marion Iowa. As an educator I teach my 300-hour Reflexology Certification Program, called Reflexology-Plus. This program includes a study of the Meridian connection to Reflexology, and the study of energy, charkas, colors, stones and meditation. This program is approved for the C.E.U.'s by the Professional License Bureau, Iowa Department of Public Health for Massage Therapy. I am the founder member of the Reflexology Association of Iowa.
My skills as a Reiki Master, Karuna Reiki Master and Healing Touch, incorporates a beautiful blend of healing energy to the reflexology treatments.

Credentials/History:

  • 1969: College of Nursing, Hammersmith Hospital, London, England.
  • 1983: Chiropody at Maidenhead, England.
  • 1985: Moved to Marion, Iowa.
  • 1987: Qualified as a Certified Reflexologist with the International Institute of Reflexology.
  • 1996: Healing Touch Level 3 A
  • 1998: Reiki Master
  • 1998: Swedish Massage Therapy part 1 with the Iowa Institute of Holistic Arts and Sciences, Iowa City.
  • 1993: Certified Medical Assistant, graduating from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids.
  • 2000: Cranial Sacral Therapy 1 with the Upledger Institute.
  • 2002: Karuna Reiki Master.
  • 2005: A.R.C.B. Certified Reflexologist
  • 2006: A.C.A.R.E.T. Accredited Teacher

The program is a series of Five Levels. Each level is 3 days, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. over a period of about 16 months.

Several years ago I was told that for school accreditation ACARET required a 300 hour program, with 75 hours of Anatomy & Physiology.  This is how we completed those hours.

  • 38 hours in class.
  • 37 hours to be completed independently
    • 13 hours – 30 worksheets from the Anatomy Coloring Workbook
    • 20 hours – Patient documentation sheets with skeletal bone diagrams, using Anatomy terminology
    •  4 hours of independent study – logged and turned in to instructor
